What can I say about 2009? It’s been a great year! I started my own show, had my first national television appearance, got a new hair cut, and I competed in the Miss Long Island pageant.
I’m not the “resolution” type–I believe that if you recognize a change that needs to be made in your life, set goals to make the change as soon as you can. But I guess that sometimes, change can happen to coincide with the new year! Something that I have actively been working on is eating less sugar. I eat a well-balanced diet but I’m worried my sweet tooth will throw that all askew.
(And if you’re still in the market for a change, might I suggest vegetarianism?)
With only a smidgen of coercion, I’ve started a Facebook fan page. I hope you guys will fan me because it’d be really sad if it was just me, my college roommate, and my cousin on there. Click HERE to go!
Last Wednesday’s all new episode has been posted on YouTube for your viewing pleasure! It features music videos from Ancient Tongue, Rob Murat featuring Kidz In the Hall, and a performance by Chris Bryant. Also, you’ll see my Michael Jackson inspired Halloween costume and hear me belt some of my favorite song right now, “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z featuring Alicia Keys.

Be sure to tune in! Wednesday at 5:30 PM only on Long Island Cablevision Channel 115!
It’s that time again! I’m showing you some of the hottest indie videos and performances in the land!
Ancient Tongue is a live hip hop group from Long Island. Their video for “The Long Road” is cinematography perfection! They’ve been on tour with KRS-One and friend to our show Black Sheep. Visit them online ancienttongue.com.
Rob Murat is a singer/songwriter/producer from New York and we’ve got his “Dilemma Remix” video featuring Kidz In the Hall–hot collabo! His website is robmurat.com.
My friend Chris Bryant did an entire Ben Harper cover album and we’ve got one of his jam sessions as he takes on “Faithfully Remain.” Check out all of his stuff at chrisbryantsings.com.
Long Island Cablevision Channel 115 at 5:30 PM! Today today today! It’s the premiere of season two!
On today’s show, we’ve got stories on the Lighthouse project and Long Island’s rapping doctor in Long Island News Briefs. It’s the perfect time of year to start composting, and I’m going to show you how to get your compost heap started. Plus, I saw “In the Heights” and I’m a faithful viewer of “Dancing with the Stars” but will that be enough as my friend Svetlana tries to teach me some basic salsa moves??? And as always, our music contributor Kenneth “Kenny” Williams is hating on old school hip hip music in Music Notes.
Also, we’re debuting our new theme song, “The Vulcan” by Scottish hip hop band The LaFontaines. This show is UN-MISS-ABLE!!!
